Its no secret we have money, just like the likes of Chelsea and City have money - so dont see why we cant state our intentions

Also, doesnt matter what club it is, prices are always insane these days - we just can afford it:D

Yeah. I don't recall anyone saying it besides the media.
Which is my point. I'm happy to be corrected though.
He just happened to play in the same position and was coming up when Scholes was being phased out.

As far as I can recall, he was looking really good early on, but then got injured and never quite came back the same.

I was very excited about his prospects. Him and Anderson had a really good run until injuries halted it. It must have been the first 10 games of the season.
He wasn't a Scholes type player though. At least I don't think so.
Comparisons were only drawn because of his position and the timing of him entering the team.

Fair enough.

It was mostly that Charity Shield game against City...he had a good one. Out-worked the City midfield and was very, very good after coming on at half-time. He looked like the hard-running box-to-box midfielder United could have used next to Carrick but it didn't work out that way.

Doesn't have the vision or goals of a Scholes...so ja, never saw that comparison either.

He was awesome in that game and it carried on to the beginning of the season. It was unfortunately short lived though. Not too long after the 8-2 game it went downhill.

He never recovered from the injury he received from Kevin Davies.

Interesting considering Barcelona just signed Vidal, even though he can't play until January.

The 28-year-old will officially join from Real Madrid on a free transfer on 1 July 2015.
