United aren't in the Champions League so its very difficult to compete against those teams.

Well world cup is over - not like he needs to put in a excellent performance to be picked for Chile - if the reports of 250k a week is to be believed - hell why not - have a gap season earn millions and push the year after :) He is 27 after all next world cup he'll be 31

45 mill for a 27 year old...

45mil for the best central midfielder in the world? Compared to what the market usually asks for, it's not bad.

Look at Adam Lallana going to LFC for 25mil, or even the recent purchase of Herrera by United for 29mil. 45mil is a lot, but not ridiculous.

Its a lot, i think a lot can be made back from the marketability of the player though. Personally im not really fazed if United spend 10 million or 50 million, as long as they get back to winning ways.

Cavani doesn't seem to be United material - mentally...

45 million for Vidal is way too pricy - I'd rather spend 45 million for a Ronaldo like player

I did say that it is a lot, too :)

But rather that being spent on a player that is close to peerless in his role.

50mil will get Vidal, a lot of money though.

Cavani is vastly over rated. He was terrible for Uruguay and PSG will want plenty of cash for him, not anywhere near worthwhile. He can stay with them.

Carvalho rumors seem to be picking up pace, that would rule out Vidal of course.

thats like paying 90M for a 23 year old. rather buy pogba back

Pogba is too attack minded when compared to Vidal... Vidal is a lot more defensive - his work rate is excellent when charging Box-To-Box, Pogba has both Marchisio and Vidal to do that work.

United already have Kagawa, Lindgard, Mata and now Herrara who fills Pogba's position
