For those who are quick to get rid of Evra, just remember that would mean the loss of Giggs, Ferdinand, Vidic and Evra. Thats a lot of lost leadership, especially at the back.

United are likely interested and Mendes has strong links with the club but there is nothing solid on a bid being accepted at the moment.

You know where I stand with regards to the old guard. Evra and Vidic were liabilities when on the pitch and Ferdinand is a borderline cripple. One only needs to look at how easily the Nigerians overran the French left-flank to see that Evra has little to offer at the highest level.

I dont expect Evra to be a starter but hes still fine to have around whilst Shaw gets used to the place. Do you think we will get a super star to replace Evra?

Pretty sure one of the most marketable and powerful brands in the world can throw its weight around if it chooses to. Every other United sponsor has fit in with the kit (Sharp, Vodafone, AIG and AON).
