Nah he played good not world class just good whole team actually well except Amos made a stupid mistake playing off his line roma player scored from in their half gave them the confidence then they got a penalty was a tight finish, but looking very good

Pjanic is amazing with his accuracy at times, and Amos is going to play high if we play 3 CB's with a high-line. Keeper will have to sweep quickly under those circumstances. Just one of those things. Amos is a good keeper.

Van Gaal did believe Amos was culpable for Pjanic’s goal. “I am nearly 63 years old and I run when the ball is flying four seconds, fifty metres. What do you think?”

Watching the match atm... Cleverley gave away the ball in the first 15 minutes which put the defence under so much pressure, also during that time he slides in for a challenge he would never have gotten the ball... then he tries to play a quick counter and loses the ball...

Mata's passing was a bit poor but I guess it's got to do with the altitude

Wow Shaw has some pace...

Roma was lucky to have scored the first goal, guess Amos wasn't tentative enough

I wonder how true is this story from Marca.com
the most important part i made in bold and underline

Ángel di María could soon become Real Madrid's record sale. PSG's signing of the player is virtually a done deal and if we include variables, the French club might end up forking out up to €80 million for the player. If this proves to be the case, this deal beats that of Mesut Özil's move to Arsenal , who was sold for 50 million.

As MARCA previously revealed, the only problem that was in the way of the previously agreed on deal was the Fair Financial Play sanction that was hovering over PSG. The French club had already spent €50 million on David Luiz - all that UEFA would allow, and needed to sell a player to put the balance right.

The more than probable sale of Cavani to Manchester United has freed up money for the Di María transfer to go ahead, giving the green light on Real Madrid's most lucrative deal to date.

On the one hand, the express desire of the player to leave has been key in Real's decision to accept an initial fee of €70 million. The club knows that it is a historic amount, but that said, many at the Bernabéu - Ancelotti included -, wanted the Argentine to stay, as he was an important and central part of the Italian manager's team.

**** that Cavani can stay at PSG. Last thing we need is strikers. We have RvP, Rooney, Welbeck, Hernandez and then Wilson and Keane from the reserves. Why the hell do we need another striker?

Yeah we need 1 CB, 1 RB and most important of all 1 CM

I don't think we need to find a LB with Shaw and James able to cover that position, however we need someone to cover Rafael with his constant injuries.

You guys have Smalling, Jones, Evans. So why do you need a CB :D

Well last season we had 2 more centre backs and there were still occasions where Carrick had to fill in.
We also look set to play with 3 Centre backs so it will be a bit daft to willingly enter the season with only 3 recognised centre backs.
Jones doesn't have the best injury record either.
