no thanks, he wants to play no matter what and there's no way his starting over Ibra...

He's an option we haven't had before...big, strong and fast. It sounds exciting at first to have him but then teams give us so little space in the final third, he wouldn't have the chance to run at defences the way he can at Everton.

Basically, I don't think it would work out for either him or us if he came over.

So does Martial, but he's a big fish in a small pond at Everton he would learn. Plenty games for him to start. He would be a beast for us and why would he not start over Zlatan if he was regularly scoring?

He wouldn't start and wouldn't get many goals from the bench.

What makes you think he won't score. He's only 23 and has played in a "weaker" team.

But he could be starting in two years time .. Once Zlatan starts fading?

And then Lukaku would only be 25

Yes maybe he would, but I dont know if sitting and playing second fiddle is Lukaku's aim...especially for 2 seasons

Because ever time Zlatan gets a rest Rooney plays and we struggle even more to score. We need another option besides Rooney and lumping it up to Fellaini. It's no coincidence that we are 18th or 19th in chances converted.

Mou has been ruthless with players this season if Lukaku was scoring and Zlatan was not why would he not start him or sub him.

How many times has Rooney started over Zlatan? How many times has Zlatan been rested?

And what games is Rooney getting the nod? Some EPL cup games? FA Cup?

From what I read, Lukaku isnt an easy character...dont think he believes that he should be only getting limited game time

Mou isnt dropping or subbing Zlatan or Pogba - you can clearly see that. Other payers may be victim to their form, but these 2 arent from what I seen

Yep Rooney seems to get the nod for the cups. He's not dropping Zlatan because he has no better option.

He left Chelsea - and Mou - because he didn't want to sit on the bench. Each side has their own story, according to Mou he didn't want to fight for a spot while according to Lukaku, Mou promised him that he'd be a starter. With their shared history in mind, there is no way he will play under Mou again if he wasn't guaranteed to start, he's already been there and done that.

Right now Zlatan is the go-to man, Mou has made this very clear, so unless something drastically changes I cannot see Lukaku agreeing to come over if United made a run at him.

Anyhoo, there are rumours that Conte is eyeing him amid uncertainty over Costa's future.

If that was the case he would have sat and waited for his chance at Chelsea - Jose wanted to keep him but Lukaku left cos he doesn't want to play second fiddle and be on the bench.

Besides big and strong - who have we heard that from? Memphis... strong and weak minded, couldn't hack it and left - his ego got the better of him

yeah thestaggy's post above mine explained it all, I guess JJCT wasn't aware of why Lukaku left Chelsea, besides I wouldn't want a guy without the push at all cost attitude (Berbatov attitude), we WANT Griezmann, heck even Aubameyang could be a potential but he is 27 tho :D

You guys are missing my point which was he was a good option for January with Everton wanting Memphis. We have loads of very important games coming quick and fast and if anything happens to Zlatan, injury or form we are screwed.

Beside them not playing in the same position comparison between Memphis and Lukaku is ridiculous. Lukaku is a proven premiership striker only second to Aguero since the 12/13 season. Memphis had one "decent" season in Holland.

Lukaku was only 18/19 at Chelsea. His good buddy Pogba also left because he wanted to play and look what happened there.
