What's wrong with the sub? Lots of games coming up and Mata was great today.
Nothing wrong with the subbing of Mata. But then he DM Fellaini with Herrera to push up Pogba. Just bringing on Fellaini ahead of rashford and lingaard.. but he does a job... Fab new haircut tho

Ah well done Liverpool.

Nice and compact now. 2 points separating 2nd and 6th. Can't be upset about that !

16 games unbeaten! That's quite a run, and now that Martial seems back, looks good.
Seems we might have a settled front four just as we hit that last stretch...

It always seemed it would be Mkhitaryan or Mata but it turned out to be both and dropping Carrick.

I wanted to post that Martial was looking lively. Then he had that air shot!
I'm glad that he put in a decent performance, some good runs, a nice assist and a well taken goal.
Ibra didn't score but had a key pass for the first goal and an assist for the second.

Martial is still young and will develop. What I love about him is that he is almost old-school in a way. He runs at defenders from the left side and sort of dribbles. Most defenders seem to poo themselves when he does this.

As opposed to the modern tendency to just have raw pace outside and put crosses in.

I want the kid to succeed. Love the way he cuts in and runs at defenders. Some of the runs yesterday was reminiscent of his first goal against Liverpool where he cut between two defenders. We have lacked this kind of directness for a while.

Some would say reminiscent of a young Thierry Henry.

And he always leaves defenders in a heap.

Best thing about that first half is that it's over and we're ahead. If these guys had a decent striker, we'd be in ****.

That was a lucky penalty...bit of a lucky night overall though we were much better in the second half.

Yep lucky but the score could have been 6 3 too. I'll happily take a three goal lead to St etienne with any team playing and fancy us going through.
