18.07 As a rule, a player may not play in a UEFA club competition (i.e. UEFA
Champions League and UEFA Europa League, but not UEFA Super Cup) for
more than one club in the course of the same season. Exceptionally, however,
a player who has been fielded in the first, second, third qualifying round or the
play-offs of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League is entitled
to play in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League for another
club as from the group stage.
Moreover, as from the start of the round of 16, a
player can be registered in accordance with paragraphs 18.18 to 18.21 below.
A substitute player who has not been fielded is entitled to play for another club
competing in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League in the
course of the same season, provided that he is registered with the UEFA
administration in accordance with the present regulations.

I think at a reasonable price Zlatan would be loads of fun to have.

I agree.

Was watching some of his goals on Youtube recently, that dude can kick a ball. Think I saw a clip where his training consists of mostly kick boxing :wtf:

Plus in an interview when rooney was linked to Psg he said "I would pay to play with Rooney"

He has a bit of Cantona swag to him. It would be great for the young players like Cantona was for the "kids"

Really? I doubt he'd say that this season :D

I still have faith in Rooney. But I also think he needs a no.9 to play alongside/ just ahead of him.

When i saw this on Skysports i was like oh Fock  but then i thought maybe this could work with Rooney as the 10, considering we focken do a million crosses in the game

A bit late to chime in on Saturday's match, but they seem to have the same problem at number 10; too many players on the field that want to be in the position.

Rooney was fielded as a 9 but kept on dropping deep. Mata was on the right but kept on drifting inside.Januzaj was played as the 10 but he had two players drifting in to his space all the time.

The result? No consistent width was being offered, especially down the right, nobody was stretching the field and the middle was too congested.

I still believe a decision needs to be made between Rooney and Mata and I have said this for the past two seasons now. They are both 10s. Mata isn't a wide player and Rooney, while not yet ready to be a CM, is also not an out-and-out striker anymore.

I would prefer to have Rooney as #10 with Hernandez playing in front of him. Hernandez has looked pretty good every time he has come on for us. I say give him a game or two and see what happens.

Fellaini is an option but he slows down the pace to much for me. If he plays as a number 9 every time we get the ball to him the attack will be slowed down and defense has time to reorganize again.

Either one would do better than Rooney atmo...agree with the comment about the middle getting congested and making it easier to defend.

I think with the defense being solid so far we can afford to carry Mata who doesn't do well going backward...Damian looks good enough to manage a missing winger now and again. Against a team with a good left side (winger, left back) that would be dangerous.

Lvg definitely wont see that, everyone in the focken world can see Hernandez was excellent and deserves a place but NOOOOOOOOO not him.He is a stubborn old man. Please Lvg let me eat my words

In all honesty having wide players to cross the ball into no man land with Rooney up front does not give us any depth... From the matches that we've see, when Fellaini came on there was height and a target to cross the ball to... but with Rooney up front, the crosses are just wasted which meant we had to push through the middle and when you playing at home against a team that's willing to "park the bus" there's no way we can break through that if all the game plan is to go direct...

I think if LVG eats some humble pie and play Hernandez and Fellaini up front (seen in the first match against Brugge) that'll definitely open the game up more. It makes the defenders wonder if Hernandez going to slip through the back while the ball is cross/lobbed up to Fellaini and it allows Memphis to cut in while the defenders are occupied with Hernandez and Fellaini - With Rooney it just seems any high ball or cross in is always wasted. Rooney can play bench until he realises his position is not guaranteed and he starts banging in those goals
