We really played crap today. No direction, memphis was on holiday. Rooney should have stayed at home.

Quote from after the game.....

Lol, publicly what do you expect him to say? "Rooney is rubbish and we are in desperate need of a striker". Its pretty obvious that United is in the market for a striker, just that there aren't very many top ones doing the rounds. They might end up getting one before the window closes anyway.

I agree absolutely.. read his comment again, it makes no sense (we could have scored lots of goals, but are not creating chances, HUH?) which is what I was laughing at... He walked out of the conference after answering that one. He is defending Rooney, but I agree with all - who can we get now anyway that would improve the team?

Falcao isn't, but yeah, having RvP around would have helped, but seeing as though Rooney seems to be undroppable I'm not sure how much of a difference it would have made.

Gpod fek at this point in time I will take a unfit Falcao or Hernandez over rooney. Rooney is currently trolling us with his 250k a week pay check to walk around the pitch doing fek all...

I mean come on even Hernandez would make some sort of effort to plant his head instead of letting it fizzle through to mata... then those opportunities... wtf was rooney still doing on the pitch is beyond me.

LVG needs to man up and drop Rooney. Take a few tips from SAF

Oh sorry, i misunderstood your post then. I think he is currently fed up with some of the nonsense the media has been spouting as well.

Carrick cursing us from the bench b@stard! :D

Thought the Schmidfield was fine - jus thought Fellaini was perfect for this game rather than Mata from the start (even though he got the goal)

We seem to really lack proper goal threat, yet LVG seems content with possession and "creating" chances. I think we need something in there who is willing to take on players rather than not loose possession?

You think Rooney deserved to be on the pitch?

I really wonder if LVG is pulling the strings and making Rooney mediocre like what he did with Falcao.... but then again I watched the match again and Rooney pretty much just walks around the pitch whilst Memphis runs and puts pressure on every ball...

We need a Di Maria type of player. Creativity and speed is severely lacking when we go forward.

More importantly, that player needs to be given freedom rather than told to stick to the "philosophy" of possession
