Nah I think his biggest limitation is: Height: 1,61 m
Yep. I like the idea of all of our academy players making it big. But that guy has got some way to make up.

He's not going to win you many headers.

Now before you all trot out the other shorties, Scholes is 168 and messi is 170. Xavi, another shorty is 170 too.

Even The Golden Boy was 165.

You comparing Gomes to Xavi, Messi, Scholes and Maradona...

Lille just loaned him over to Portuguese club Boavista...

I agree with you about angel, he has a long way to go.. Not helped by his lack of height.

And my comparison was merely in terms of height, nothing else. I could have included tyrion lannister if that makes you feel better.

who's that? :D

Man watching United play last night was arb... no player seem to want to get the job done... everything was laboured and the passing - Rashford, Fernandes, et en al...

We literally scraped by with another penalty

Too true.

Martial seemed to want to break the Europa record for shifting the ball to his other foot for a shot without ever taking the shot and wanting to walk the ball into the net. Thank goodness they eventually just tackled him for the penalty after getting bored of his antics or they might still have been out there this morning.

Looks like we're all set to meet our b team in the final. If we manage to beat wolvesevilla.

See, i said that someone was going to bring up the shorties.

I didn't get to your post :)

I see that he is actually a lot shorter than the other shorties. Then again, Messi was put on growth hormones or something. Blerry drug cheat - CR7 for the win!!

Oh come on. It was just one of those nights where things didn't go our way. Balls bouncing off goal posts, a few great moves being nerfed, GK having the game of his life.

Another night and it would have been a minimum of 5-0.

Edit: and this goes for @cenredash as well :)

I'll acknowledge the second half was better, but a lot of the movement felt forced and not natural flowing football. Small intricate stuff at the edge of the box. Felt like an arsenal (and you can't know how much it hurts me to say this).

But yes, lots of poor luck on the night, hitting the goalposts, but that's just being inaccurate with the finishing. Their GK had a very good game, and happy about the penalty.

Brandon Williams has an engine, but not economical in movement, but I guess that will get better as he gets older. Still doesn't feel incisive to me. Wan Bissaka seemed to feel we should have a target man in there for him to cross to, but the crosses just didn't feel on. We do need that dimension to our game, for a winger/ fullback to put a cross into the area, and having someone there to actually win the header.

I don't think we need a sancho for that. Just a nice direct striker. Where was Ighalo last night?

And Woodnob is peeing me off no end again. Rumours are we want Ake - next thing, City get him for 40 million pounds, with a rumoured, wait for it, whole 1 million in potential add-ons.

City and Chelsea have been doing great business.

Us? Well, we gets lots of news how the Sancho deal is likely not to take place due to United being held to ransom again.

We give Sanchez away for free.

We get rid of none of the other deadwood. Looks like we need to decide to drop De Gea or Dean Henderson wants to leave.

Other than that, United may be getting a new janitor to clean the bird crap off the empty seats. Hope we don't pay too much for him.

I'm surprised they never had to pay Inter to take the wage thief off of the books.

So we play Sevilla in the semis, and boy do they look good
Sevilla is a solid team. They ended la liga in 4th position just below atleti but on goal difference.

Raul Jiminez missed that early penalty and that would have made a world of difference to wolves game.

Yeah he looked a little to chill when taking the penalty. 2nd half Sevilla were all over Wolves and the commentators said that's how they also wore down Roma

We will need to shackle Banega... Cues Ander Herrera doing a job on Hazard

Romero keeps a clean sheet in the last game, De Gea is brought in for the next. We've all seen how this ends before.

I just saw that, wasn't chuffed with that decision... But hey I'm not the manager. But I thought Sergio deserved to continue his good run in the UEL

What I don't understand with DDG - we barely ever see him run out and claim any crosses, it's like he is scared to catch the ball or something... his command of his 6 yard box is to just stand in goals and hope someone doesn't hit a 1v1 against him.

Yes given the piss poor officiating - should have had the throw in, should have had the second penalty, should have buried those 1v1 against Sevilla's goal keeper - but honestly I felt this is as good as we are at this point in time.
