Good team selection for a game against the bottom side...and then we make our usual sleepwalking start. Recovery in progress.
Sleepwalking and stupid tactics. So annoying that we stick to passing out from the back. Do something different. But hey, seems to work for us going a goal behind.

I honestly do not get this absolute insistence from playing from the back. It's like United need to go a goal down to get into gear.

Maybe just simply pass the ball back into the net for an own goal from the start?

So we got the record for the most games (6) won from a losing position (going a goal down).

Now it all makes sense why we play out from the back, cause we clearly wanted this record!!

I don't think it's the playing out from the back that is a issue, it's individual errors - Maguire should have been wider and that pass should have - as Matic pointed out - been to the wide player (Tella) instead Maguire shafted the keeper

Two stupid, lucky goals we gave away but at least we won. Should have nailed them 5.

Playing out from the back IS the issue, if your individuals are prone to stupid errors. That's high risk strategy if they don't have the technical ability to get yourself out of a situation, pass too slowly, too inaccurately, or poor choice of who to pass to.

The positives
That Lindelof pass to rashford tho.
Rashfords whip of a shot that was passed the goalkeeper before he had a chance to react.
Pogba's pass for Martial with such underspin.
Martials run.
Martials awareness to poke the ball home.
Bruno's delicious passing throughout.
Pogba putting in a good shift, but giving balls away late and unnecessarily.
Henderson's save in the last 5 minutes.

Wan bissaka though, I'm a bit worried about his lack of intent going forward.

Telles is a find...reliable at the back, good going forward. Greenwood needs to add a pass to his game - at the moment, you always know he's going to shoot. Don't think I've seen him get an assist or even try to. That will come with time, I guess.

Any idea why Cavani didn't make the bench yesterday?

Agree about telles. Underrated quality player. Nice long ball ability

nice to see United actually started out the blocks - but not sure if it was just meh defending from Leeds

Defence is their problem. They think too offensively, that as long as they score, it's fine, but it's not. They will learn the hard way.

As much as I'm annoyed with Martial not being able to convert any of those chances, I'd be happy if he scored us just one in a game we didn't deserve to win.
