A new record of 5. He's a genuinely unlucky guy. I'd rather have a lucky player than a good one. Sigh. Hope it's nothing serious.
It doesn't look like it as he is back in training and could be in the squad tonight.

VAR is a bit of a joke. Where was Luke Shaws foot supposed to go after he kicked the ball?

I think they refs didn't want to rule on what would have been a red card for the opposing side a few seconds later.

VAR for ruling out Maguires goal was a joke too. But after all that, it didn't matter.

Pogba playing with some form and consistency at last. I couldn't be happier.

HT:Abysmal refereeing and use of VAR. as Shaw’s incident wasn’t deemed a red card, the the second incident should have stood and Burnley down to 10 men

Maguire jumped earlier and headed the ball before said “foul” therefore his goal should also have stood.

We’ve been robbed.

Yeah I was like WTF? Shaw played the ball first onto the shin of the opponent yes the follow through caught him but that was never a card or a foul incident...
Maguire goal htf is that foul? opponent didn't even jump while Maguire was already in the air and taking the ball in his stride

Exactly. Maguire was in the air so wasn't using the defender to get up. The defender mistimed the jump and gained a decision from that. Crazy.

But we kept going, not as sharp as some other games but enough there. Again martial leaving at least one very good chance going abegging. Just hope someone keeps scoring. Single goals from 6 different players, Pogba, mctom martial with 2 each.

Need martial and rashford to get to scoring otherwise too much reliance on rashford and Bruno
But nearly halfway into the season.

Two best chances and we couldn't finish. That's the tale of the match. In good old mourinho style we controlled the match without dominating it.

Don't think you guys controlled the game maybe then last 10 minutes but credit to Wan Bissaka don't think anyone can beat him 1 on 1

Sorry, the word I was looking for was managed, not controlled. We managed the game.

After getting through the bombardment in the first half, the match was there for the taking... Should have buried both those chances (Bruno and Pogba). A point gained rather than 3 points lost.

Onwards to the next match - lets give Fernandes a rest.
Definitely with you on Bruno getting a rest - play Pog / Mata there then bring in VdB or something.... Bruno is starting to look fatigued.

Great for him, copied from the interwebs
Shaw’s display caught the eye among a host of excellent defensive performances.

We’ve collected five stats from the left-back’s Man of the Match display at Anfield.

– Shaw was tasked with keeping both Mo Salah and Sadio Mane quiet at different points of the game and didn’t disappoint, winning 100% of his tackles.

– The England international recovered the ball eight times and made four defensive clearances at Anfield.

– Shaw also impressed with his passing. He completed 100% of his long passes and recorded an 81% passing accuracy during the game.

– The 25-year-old created two chances for his team-mates – including a golden opportunity for Bruno Fernandes, whose shot was saved by Alisson.

– He helped United become the first away team to keep a Premier League clean sheet at Liverpool since October 2018.
