Young players i think will need minutes include
fosu Mensa
tuanzebe
Pereira
mctominay

hope there are some games that they get to build reputation while we're winning ..
I hope to see a bit of Angel Gomes, the 16 year old that came on for Rooney in his final league game and apparently he is Nani's cousin. I see James Wilson is fit again after a series of injuries and Butt has been saying some good things about him.

Since he hasn't really been involved so far in the preseason I think angel gomes will have a hard time getting into the team in the next few months at least. There are always some international breaks too early jn the season which annoys the hell out of me so hoping no one gets injured.. Hopefully we get a kind draw in the cups and all the young uns will get a chance to get some time to show their skills.

Yeah I doubt we will see him in the premiership but hoping for a early round FA Cup or League Cup appearance.

Lets just hope JM start utilising SAF's mentailly regarding the league cup - leave it to the younglings, push for the FA Cup and EPL and try reach at least the quarter finals of the UCL.

Zlatan Ibrahimović, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba have been shortlisted for the 2016/17 UEFA Europa League Player of the Season award.

I agree and disagree in a sense, the league cup has grown in stature over recent years as you now have so many good teams competing for silverware.

I would love to see the youngsters just as much as you, but don't know if that is a reality.

Yes but it's a non priority

League Cup winners receive £100,000 prize money (awarded by the Football League) with the runners-up receiving £50,000, considered relatively insignificant to top-flight teams, compared to the £2 million prize money of the FA Cup

I don't know if it was by design or luck but what a good position our squad is in age wise, most around 24/25 or younger. With the price of players these days hopefully we won't need to go into the transfer market very often for the next few years.

The Neymar transfer is a massive blow for Barcelona because that's a ageing squad with most around 30.

I think it's massive in another respect - how many assists did he provide?

In the long run we will need to get another RB. Matic backup when Carrick retires, another striker/possibly a left winger if Martial moves up top.

Then we'll have to look at Mkhitaryan/Mata 28 and 29 year old.

So a good 5 years to go with our current squad but Matic/Carrick backup is imminent, Valencia attacking and tracking back defender - Darmian can slot in there but going forward he looks better on the left than on the right side

Dont put Matic and Carrick in the same "player mould"

We need backup up for Matic yes. Carrick could be replaced by a chair and we would have more movement

Juan is a special dude. Ever since following him on social media and reading his blog he's such a classy guy from the way he dresses to how he goes to museums, art galleries and interesting architecture. Most of the premiership and footballers in general come off as quite yobbish.

I see he also joined up with a charity and pledged 1% of his salary. Which some idiots of course say he can afford to give more but don't understand his goal is to get the football industry to donate 1% which will raise way more money than trying to get 10% out of people.

He reminds me of Cantona. After he signed Fergie said the players did not know what to make of him because he read poetry, painted and drank wine.
