Always a possibility with Mou. But I genuinely think he would sign him and that there is still doubt in terms of Mabappe coming and so on..

We''ll see as this could be that end of August transfers

I seriously dont want to pay 100m for a croak... Bale is always injured, I'd rather have a 32 year old Ronaldo than a 28 year old Bale

I mean seriously Bale's injury record: 29 matches missed due to injury last season

16/17 Calf Injury Apr 24, 2017 Jun 1, 2017 38 days 8Real Madrid
16/17 Calf muscle strain Apr 13, 2017 Apr 20, 2017 7 days 2Real Madrid
16/17 Ankle injury Nov 24, 2016 Feb 16, 2017 84 days 17Real Madrid
16/17 Hip injury Sep 15, 2016 Sep 22, 2016 7 days 2Real Madrid

season before that 15 matches out injured

15/16 Disrupted Calf Muscle Jan 18, 2016 Mar 3, 2016 45 days 8Real Madrid
15/16 Muscle Injury Oct 19, 2015 Nov 5, 2015 17 days 4Real Madrid
15/16 Muscle Injury Sep 17, 2015 Sep 28, 2015 11 days 3Real Madrid

I mean Ronaldo: only 7 matches missed after a major injury...

A valid argument fish and I would take Ronaldo if he were one of the choices

If it were Bale v anyone (besides Ronaldo) - there isnt much to compare to a fit Bale. We also may have a better med staff than RM and could keep him fit longer

I would take the gamble on one of the few proper World Class players out there

I am uncertain on Bales contract length but I am almost certain he has a higher release clause than Neymar with Ronaldo the highest at £898m.

For 28yr old that would be to Rich for my liking and at that a player that relies so heavily on his pace. Once he starts losing that? He ain't no ronaldo who has lost his pace somewhat but can still read attacking play and position himself into the best goal scoring positions. Then again it's ronaldo.

I wouldn't touch Bale with a 10 foot barge pole. He'll spend way too much time on the treatment table. Waste of money.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who'd rather take Perisic over Bale, even though Mou feels otherwise. It's also interesting that Mou never talks about other players but now has suddenly said if Bale is no longer wanted, then he wants him. Mou must have received some information. In the past, he insisted these things are impossible and he won't waste the club's time.

I think that's possible his final play to get Persic, "withdraw" interest and talk about some other players.

So when it comes to Carrick, Mou (and every other manager) is the manager and knows best

But now with Bale, Mou doesn't know what he is doing..go figure

no we saying Mou is using Bale as a final push cos his contradicting himself - first by saying his not going to name players his interested - because that would be wrong (tapping up in a sense)

But the Bale comment just before we play RM could unsettle the camp :D I'm hoping this is the case, I really don't want Bale at United.

It could be that, too! Haha. Mou is the master of mind games. Anything to win :D

You're like Kopite always finding a way to make it about United...you always find a way to make it about Sir Carrick.

:D
