I almost had a mini heart attack there, i think a dash is needed between re and signing. Otherwise it might be misconstrued as he is resigning i.e he is leaving.
I had the same initial reaction to this post and some before this.

Ibra signing again is a toss up

He is quality and a proven winner - in a coaching role now while he cant play is awesome to help the likes of Rashord and Lukaku

When he comes back, will he demand a starting role? Will he be happy as a rotation player? While he is class, he is slow and wont do what Lukaku does and I hope we dont sacrifice players to get him int the side

He is rather the talisman though. And like I said before, the best United teams (imo) always had 4 strikers. Lukaku, Rashford, Martial and Zlatan - now that's a quartet that's likely to demand respect.

The money invested in Lukaku, I don't think he will be able to demand a starting position. I can see him starting in the bigger away games in Europe.

Watching that video is it just me and don't get me wrong I do love the guy but Rooney just doesn't stir the emotions for me like the others? Maybe it's too early and he just doesn't feel like he's gone yet.

Re that video...I would have liked some older stuff. I did appreciate the bit of Charlton but some Best dribbling, Denis Law finishing would have been nice.

Talisman yes

Four strikers was when we played with 2 upfront, now we play with one upfront with the new formation.

I love Zlatan, just feel he should be chosen for specific games, one where pace is not needed as he does slow the game down, but has the skill to break down stubborn defenses

I think Mourinho will manage Zlatan's load properly, and let him know where he stands from the beginning... must already be starting with the talks of his wages coming up .. can't be anywhere near his last year's salary.

There is an MVP in the team that has got no honorable mentions so far this season and has been sidelined for the most part. Wonder how he will feel being relegated to being a bit part player with no apparent chances (based on this season so far) of him winning the team's player of the year this season.

Hi guys, had a heavy weekend, attended a funeral (motorbike accident) so missed out on all the matches...

IMHO if Zlatan re-signs, Jose will play him in a 3-5-2 formation and Mata/Mkhitaryan will be sacrificed

Bailley Jones/Smalling Blind/Darmian
Valencia Mkhitaryan/Mata/Herrera/Fellaini Matic Pogba Rashford/Martial
Lukaku Zlatan

I really don't see this type of formation now - given that we are playing and attacking with such fluidity.
Mkhitaryan does best when he doesn't have to track back and defend - while Pogba given the freedom he does cover Matic very well.

I think we will stick with the 4-3-3 formation that we have going now with guys getting subbed in or rotated on a weekly basis.

I'm sure we'll see Lindelof within the next 5 matches. Mata and Mkhitaryan partnership will be short lived in favour of Herrera/Pogba/Matic trio

If nobody's talking about our keeper, that's a good thing. I hope those many games where he was the best player in a United shirt never come back.
take nothing away from DDG he still pulled of some good saves in these 2 matches but hell I'm glad he isn't really required to pull of miracle saves like he did under LVG

Huh? He played both league games.

I was kinda joking .. he's been carrying us for a few years .. and yes, agree that for us it is a good thing, even for him too .. clean sheets are great.. just wonder how you cope with not being the most valuable player anymore ...

Anyone see that Morata miss?

Not saying who is better but just feel Lukaku is a better "fit" for a Premier league team and more so for United with Pogba and the gang being more suited to his personality - you can see how they all get along

Lukaku looks happy, Morata just looks like he wants to cry all the time
