New Zealand V Argentina shaping up to be the game of the weekend. Also think the England v Fiji game could serve up some bone crunching tackles :D

Yea I agree. I think the France Italy one could also go any which way. If France has a blinder they will trump Italy. However Italy is just as unpredictable as France. I think it's going to be a dinger.

Can't wait for tonight. Watching the opening ceremony and match on a huge screen in a rugby club in Hawick, smack bang in the middle of rugby country in Scotland (home of late great Bill McLaren for you oldies).

And I'm super confident that Scotland are going to surprise more than a few teams including the Bokke ;)

Scotland will beat Samoa but there's no way that they would beat South Africa or make it out of the quarter finals.

I know they'll give the Boks a fright. A win remains uncertain however although it won't surprise me.

Been to a few Sharks games and catch the odd match on tv. Not clued up on the nitty gritty but I do know how the scoring etc works.

I thought about this the other day. Rugby can be boring to watch if you don't understand the rules (of which there are a tonne).

Once you start understanding the context of breakdowns, mauls, lineouts, scrums etc. it gives you a new perspective and appreciation for the parameters within these 30 guys have to battle it out over the 80 minutes. It's actually quite a remarkable sport in that sense. There's room for brutality, finesse, agility, stamina etc. all in one match.

I often think the biggest problem with Rugby is the "grey" areas in the rules, absolutely no consitency.

I wouldn't be suprised by ref's destroying games because of their inconsistent application of the rules.

The more complicated the rules, the more grey areas exist.

I saw it on fb too yesterday and laughed. Chill lax a bit
Of course i was. Jeez some people take life a little too serious.

If it bothers you, report it. No skin of my back. I just thought it was kinda cute.

I realise that, all I'm saying is don't be surprised if there's another fark up, like 2011.
It happens almost weekly. The interpretation even between north and south differs sometimes. Happens so often a team can or should almost plan for it.

4 hours of rugby in a row on a Friday evening is pretty great.
