Meh, to me it's which team gives it their every thing, Japan has played every game as if it was their last game, kudos for that, prefect sportsmanship as well.

I love the Japanese. I just highly doubt they have the stature to make it further than the pool games.

Who knows :p I can't remember but I don't think they kick a lot... Alternative would Argentina, I hope there is some upset there.

What concerns me is if we make it to the Quarter-finals, we will either be facing England or Australia or Fuji , facing either runner up or winner of pool A, makes for a tough game. Will definitely not be easy Quarter-finals for pool A or B by the looks of things NZ has an easier Quarter-finals. Best case it will better to lose a game still have a tough Quarter-finals, winning that with an easier Semi-finals.

Winning the pool will likely result in facing either ENG or AUS in the QF and quite possibly NZ in the semi final, and easier final.Aus is very likely to win their pool so we will end up playing ENG with home ground advantage.

Bokke definitely have a tough WC campaign, however much I support them I don't see them, winning both AUS and NZ, it's a bit much to ask.

I thought about this the other day. Rugby can be boring to watch if you don't understand the rules (of which there are a tonne).

Once you start understanding the context of breakdowns, mauls, lineouts, scrums etc. it gives you a new perspective and appreciation for the parameters within these 30 guys have to battle it out over the 80 minutes. It's actually quite a remarkable sport in that sense. There's room for brutality, finesse, agility, stamina etc. all in one match.

I may not know or understand all the rules but I have never found it boring. And if the Sharks or Boks are playing than even better.

The eye candy also helps :D

As much as people say "we" lost the game against Argentina, I think they won that game. I doubt they will be able to topple NZ, but they might just sneak another upset. That would turn this RWC on it's head for sure. Going to be an epic clash. Actually looking forward to that game more than the SA vs Japan game.

I don't think any of us understand ALL the rules, so nobody can judge you. Hell, sometimes the referees make them up as they go too. :D

People seem to forget Argentina, I wouldn't write them off, it's very likely we will see them in QF, and NZ vs Argentina is going to be an interesting game, I doubt very much that NZ is under estimating them at all. Argentina is good enough to beat NZ or at least a low scoring game.I think what is an issue for smaller teams is that they need to have their best 15 playing in every game, where the bigger teams have opportunities to rest some of their players against weaker teams.

However I do see that happening less and less as the smaller teams definitely kicked it up a notch in recent years....

Regardless of what happens in this RWC, I think the next one will see them being even more competitive. Then they've got many years of Rugby Championship experience, combined with a Super Rugby team, which in a way is basically going to be the Argentinian national team.

Unbelievable looking team!

This is what happens when you can choose the best 15 players in their position as opposed to be politically correct. That is by far the best team going into the RWC.

That's a full strength team...

Looks like everyone's bringing out the big guns for the first round.
