They've very much improved it. Scott Sio is a top class scrummager. Without him they struggle, though.
They are better than before, but they still struggle a lot, and as such concede more penalties in that area, not to mention wasting a lot of time.
There are 2 aspects of the Aussie game that really irritate me.
It is their negative scrum tactics and the constant gold jerseys lying on the wrong side of the ruck, tackle area, breakdown. Watching the final its so easy to see how fast the black jersey's move away, gold just lies there playing dumb.
The Aussie back-line is 'electric' and the 3 loosies are phenomenal.
Get the scrum more stable and they will be world champs.
The Kiwi scrum is not all that, but they are a reliable stable unit that provides quality ball and they can manipulate their attack just how they want to from any place on the field because of it.
We have a great scrum, but we only play with 10 players.
