Official Rugby World Cup 2015 Thread

They've very much improved it. Scott Sio is a top class scrummager. Without him they struggle, though.

They are better than before, but they still struggle a lot, and as such concede more penalties in that area, not to mention wasting a lot of time.
There are 2 aspects of the Aussie game that really irritate me.
It is their negative scrum tactics and the constant gold jerseys lying on the wrong side of the ruck, tackle area, breakdown. Watching the final its so easy to see how fast the black jersey's move away, gold just lies there playing dumb.

The Aussie back-line is 'electric' and the 3 loosies are phenomenal.
Get the scrum more stable and they will be world champs.
The Kiwi scrum is not all that, but they are a reliable stable unit that provides quality ball and they can manipulate their attack just how they want to from any place on the field because of it.

We have a great scrum, but we only play with 10 players. :p

Some of the All Blacks took the Webb Ellis Trophy to Jerry Collin's grave to wish him a belated birthday.

Ex-Boks launch 'Heyneke Must Fall' campaign

John Bishop - The Witness

Durban - Two former Test captains, Wynand Claassen and Divan Serfontein, are drumming up support among old Springboks, provincial players and supporters to bring down Rugby World Cup coach Heyneke Meyer.

The pair, in an unprecedented move to end Meyer’s tenure as Springbok coach, on Friday circulated a hard-hitting letter under a heading “Heyneke Must Fall” among dozens of former Springboks. Claassen and Serfontein have called for concerted action to ensure that Meyer’s four-year contract is not renewed when the SA Rugby Union (SARU) executive meets early next month after the Springboks finished in third place at the Rugby World Cup.

“Let us stand together and fight for change in South African rugby so that we, as loyal South Africans, can again be proud and that players get the opportunities to develop, thrive and to wear the Springbok jersey with pride,” the two said.

That does not look good. Seems like he is on a heavy alcohol or drug binge.
