So the team that currently sits atop the Currie Cup and was SA's most enterprising side during Super Rugby doesn't even get a token selection in the squad?

9-man kick-and-chase rugby. We'll win the group, battle mightily with whomever we meet in the quarters and see our arses IF we manage to make a semi vs the ABs.

Yup, Heyneke Meyer has nailed his colours to the mast. To be fair World Cups seldom won by the most enterprising side, they are won by the side making the fewest mistakes.

Call me negative but we will not win the WC 2015

1 or 2 different choices here or there wouldn't have changed that. We simply don't have the depth of players we've had at some previous world cups, like it or not.

A few injuries in key positions and it could go very, very badly..

As much as everyone hates Frans Steyn. He is the one person you want in your games when it comes to long range chances. Games normally being very close in the RWC, 3 or 6 points can make a huge difference. No one like Brussouw to get turnovers from their attack in our 22. De Villiers? WTF? He's not suppose to be in this squad he's been lifted from the team by Kriel and De Allende. I just can't accept this farking team no matter how hard I try...

This team is pretty spot-on, considering quotas. And Frans Steyn had other issues with SARU, which were probably not resolved in time. It was wishful thinking if anyone realistically thought he was gonna be picked after last year's shambles.

I am just waiting for him to do his deer in the headlights routine at the wrong time and lose us this damn World Cup while HM stubbornly refuses to sub him for some reason.

On the plus side he is not likely to be boo'ed off the field again in the UK.

Lambie will be the starting flyhalf, so I seriously doubt Pollard would get subbed.

Top 2? You schitting me? He's a child with buggerall experience

The All Blacks would disagree. No flyhalf we've had has put in a performance nearly like that of his at Ellis Park last year. Take your blinkers off.

If you think he's not, you're schitting me.

Provincialism is a sickness in our rugby fandom. Time to get cured. ;)

Agreed he's been **** this year, but all he needs is a little bit of confidence. He'll get that against the USA and Japan.

That said, Lambie is in the driving seat at this stage, and deservedly so.

Based on what? Need I remind you that he started the last game, which we won? Heyneke Meyer is not an idiot, he'll pick whoever he needs to win.

Just wait and see. Lambie will be warming the bench a lot just like he has been for most of the games under Heyneke.

Don't get me wrong. I like Lambie just as much as you guys. But Meyer believes Pollard is the number 1 flyhalf in SA.

He's tactical kicking is schit
He constantly do not kick out penalities, or when he kicks something out directly, it's a kick-off.
He can't tackle for schit.
Falls apart under pressure. With go forward ball he is fine, but when it's not, he's not.

Don't get me wrong, he has potential, but he's yet to reach it. The World Cup of Rugby, is not the place for him to do so.

The little game time that Lambie had, proved him to control the game a lot better.
Tactical kicking is a little better.
He can tackle 100% better than Pollard.
He copes under pressure.

Not sure what this Provincialism is you are referring to.

I've got a colleague who's the most biased Lions supporter you'll ever find - I think I can handle this one. ;)

Biased Lion supporter? Ummm... I want Lambie in there... correct me if I'm wrong, but he's a Shark.

I like Pollard more.

You have no basis for that allegation, except for anti-Heyneke sentiment, which seems to be doing the rounds. I agree he's made mistakes, but which Bok coach hasn't? He's made the best with what he's been given.

I've got news for you

Again, the anti-Heyneke sentiment.

The first SA coach to win Super rugby, and he did that 5 years after taking over the worst Bulls side in history and building them up from nothing.

I'll take my chances on him over a provincialistic Lions supporter, thanks. You're calling him an idiot because he hasn't picked any Lions.

What fcking anti-Heyneke sentiment?

Stop putting words in my mouth. I said Meyer rates Pollard as the number 1 flyhalf and that is why he will pick him. Nothing else.
