Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Nicholas Negroponte announced a $ 100 laptop with tremendous fanfare a while back, but One Laptop Per Child recently broke the news that the real cost will now be closer to $ 200.

That's still way too cheap for our south african kids. Heavan forbid that they should settle for something at under R2000 that they would generally have to fork over R10,000 for. MIT and Negroponte are just trying to dump their 2nd rate products on our youth - DoE
