Don't recall the FCA specifically addressing that - I'd be worried about getting shot by the cops though, so if at all possible I'd ask the cops if I can assist. I imagine a lot of legal complications should an innocent bystander be shot though.
Yeah, obviously where proper consultation has happened, not just barge in and start shooting.

On principal I disagree... You have no bold and cocked up posting style so you must be wrong or your account has been hacked.

I hope the two cops are OK. Mentally and physically for the other

I've been complaining for years... why would he listen to the other lot now and try be normal? I'm hurt... :p
OK OK -- just for you ....

I am SURE the perps firearms were purchased from a properly licensed Gun shop.

I am sure the perps firearms were properly registered on the Central Firearms registry.

I am sure the perps ALL had proper COMPETENCY certificates.

I am sure GFSA have had a LOT to say about why we need MORE perps to follow the example of these fine upstanding citizens !

EDIT
Oops
I forgot to mention

I am sure the perps ALL had current and valid SAPS 540 Permits

Happy now ?

I would have thought that the police would always have a R4 rifle in their vehicles, although not sure they would even have had a chance to get to it.

I think the guy in the Van isn't equipped like that, and the other officer probably bolted up from the Police station which is about 400m away from this centre.

Standard saps vans are not, maybe a shotgun but not R4's. Unless they are on op or major task, the guns would then be issued from the station for the duration of the op.

I assume. Specialist units ( the old murder and robbery units etc.) did always have.

In South Africa all police officers have bullet proof vests and while on duty patrol, assault rifles, shotguns or light machine guns. And they are still getting killed. Tough times if you ask me. #EnjoyTheRide

Not true at all. Our cops are armed with 9mm. Specialized units will have the heavier weaponry for specific operations.
