This is not quite the way to prove that intuition.

The thing is that it would be extremely difficult to prove that any life forms/bacteria/bacteria fossils that are found in meteorites aren't caused by contamination. I guess the only surefire way would be if they find something like that from samples obtained in some future space mission where probes collect samples from asteroids and comets.
