Okay I have now updated the app and it is doing an initial sync again to the Cloud (about 5GB). It does not seem to stop syncing when I switch to a metered connection - I will let it finish and test thereafter. It's the same app now. You should update your app.
Because it is cheaper on all fronts, with the exception of bandwidth. Security is relative for both Cloud and on-premise storage.Use local company file server. It is cheaper, more secure and restoration is much faster.
I don't know why people are so addicted to the cloud services.
Do whatever you like. I posted it as your primary Internet connection is a "metered connection". It doesn't sound reasonable. IT people don't even think about cloud services without fast primary Internet connection AND secondary one for backup. If you think otherwise, I wish you luck...Because it is cheaper on all fronts, with the exception of bandwidth. Security is relative for both Cloud and on-premise storage.
You assume incorrectly. The primary connection is 1Gb/s. For some reason it keeps on syncing when moving to my LTE connection and does not pause automatically. I know this to be a problem on Windows 10 but not on Windows 8.1.Do whatever you like. I posted it as your primary Internet connection is a "metered connection". It doesn't sound reasonable. All right, I do apologize. Perhaps you should give Microsoft 4 or 5 years to fix bugs and for now revert to 8.1.You assume incorrectly. The primary connection is 1Gb/s.
