Here's a quick rundown of the specs:
5.5-inch 1080p Full HD display with LTPS and TOL (Touch on Lens) technology protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3, 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of LP-DDR3 RAM, 4G LTE support for many bands, 16/64GB storage, no microSD support, 13-megapixel 6-lens Sony Exmor camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual LED flash and 4K video capture support, 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 80-degree capture angle, dual-band 802.11 b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GPS, GLONASS and embedded 3100mAh battery that should offer “more than a full day of use”. The phone measures 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9mm and weights 162g.

I don't know about anyone here but I'm going to try and see if I can't import one of these in the coming few months. The 64gb model is $349 and it surpasses the S5 on most fronts, at least on paper.

Very nice. I wonder what the shipping costs will be on that. Though I must say, I'm waiting for project Ara. The first model should be released later this year.

Edit- Only Jan next year I see.

I still can't see a compelling reason why I'd want a modular phone. But yeah, this phone concept is mainly interesting because of the pricing relative to the specs. I actually find the screen far too large for a phone. I'd still get this though and maybe have an iPod for the gym.

Been watching this for a while.
The company behind it reminds me of the ubuntu phone, they want one model for a while with very high specs and very good software support.

Agreed on the screen size. Those specs in a 5" model would be brilliant. Much like the M8, I suppose, at double the price

This could well turn out to be a game changer in the long run. If I didn't have a newish phone already, I would have considered this. It might be a bit big, but it seems impressive on paper. I wonder if the warranty would be void if you root it

This looks great! I wonder if any service providers will carry them locally.

After playing around with a Galaxy Note sized phone for a while, you kinda get used to the size and the screen looks super shiny as well :D So I'm sure the 5.5 inch form factor would be pretty epic

It's doubtful. But it's sold unlocked and I reckon you could get it shipped over cheaply. I'm mulling over getting this rather than a contract phone when it comes up in August and then just selling the contract phone.

Would be nice to play with it and see what it's really like. Will look out for some upcoming hands on videos which should be out anytime now...

There are quite a few hands on videos already on Youtube. Geek.com has and Gizchina.
