Online dating sites used to rob men in Pretoria

This was just a matter of time, wasn't there a thread somewhere here 2 or so years ago where a guy said this will happen as these apps become more popular.

Who the hell takes R190k on a date? For that money you should be having a six-way with semi-pros in the penthouse of a five-star hotel.

In another similar incident‚ in March‚ a 54-year-old Sandton man was robbed of R190‚000 after he was lured by a woman he had met on a dating website. The victim was accosted by three men while sitting in the woman's flat and accused of sleeping with the wife of one of the men. He was threatened to hand over his bank card and PIN code to the three men‚ who then went on a shopping spree amounting to R190‚000 with his bank card while he was kept in the flat.

Worst part is the bank won't refund the 190k since he "volunteered" the PIN. Pin compromised = not our problem
