I bet on him in 2016, won big. Paid for a holiday to the Canary Islands.

Bet on him again in 2020, lost £50.

The only two bets I have made.
2024 for garbage again? I mean from bet perspective. I know where you stand politically.

I won R100k on lottostar with R200 while waiting for my friends to come back online on fortnite like 2 weeks ago
Playing the lotto is different from straight up gambling though.

I get bored playing in a casino, whether I am up or down after 15 minutes I just get bored and can't be bothered to play more.

A couple times I tried to force myself to play longer but I'll just get a stress knot in my shoulder. Then realise I really can't force myself to care

My grandpa in Mauritius had a problem with gambling specifically with horses. We found old books etc when he passed away and it was not umm small money he lost .

The older generation loves the horses. I'm not surprised some are addicted. My father spends hours watching the horses channel on tv. He only changes channels because my mother wants to watch telenovelas in the evening.

Go to casino on a weeknight less down an hour before the official closing time of the restaurants. You'll see some interesting stuff.

True, there are many addictions but actually many are not as overly destructive. Most of us probably have an addition in some way or another.

Gambling is one of the worst you can get. It can cause bright people with families and stable jobs to lose everything.

Internet addiction is also real and many of us on Mybb definitely suffer from it but it's not as destructive as other additions.
That may be true, but then they're not really that bright if they allow it to come to that.

Laws that protect people from themselves shouldn't exist, only laws that protect people from others. It's government overreach to infringe on their liberties, no matter how dumb they may be...

Stranded people?
After a day/night ODI we went to get pizza at Suncoast Casino, within the first 5 minutes of entering we witnessed security forcefully eject a 50 year old man, a dude face plant and lose all his pasta and 2 people trying a console a distraught man in on the verge of crying.

I've seen the destruction gambling can bring to your life. I've avoided it pretty much completely my entire life. No desire to risk slipping into it.

Won R14k with R10 on Betway 19 team football selection the other day. I had R15 in the account and thought "what the hell".
Now I wait for my powerball winnings on Saturday  Nice! lol The R100k win just made me realise how much of my savings I had dug into and how poorly I have saved lol. A R100k is nice but its not that much :crying: I need to maybe start a thread and ask for advice

It's better than not adding anything at all. Congratulations.

Share some slips. I must warn you whoever I follow things go pear shaped.
I don't have any specific method. I look at previous history, current form, injuries; if a cup match, how important it is to the team (league cup doesn't mean much to Man City but is important to Brentfort for example), potential lineup, quickly gloss over team news, in etc.

But I don't spend much on betting; I'd say R300 pm max. I sometimes go months without placing bets. I knew a guy who was coining it. At the time, I wasn't interested.

I use to work in the Gambling industry and the stories I can tell you. Scary to see what people do when they don't think no one is watching.
