Something where the employees can log in and submit the leave and then the manager receives a notification and can then just click on a link and approve it and then the employee get's a notification that it's been approved.

Labournet / PsiberWorks

But beware both of them get dog slow and useless when employees are many- They also have browser issues.

Sage has something called ESS. Payslips/Leave/Etc. all in one.

Sage has various payroll solutions that all offer ESS (employee self service). ESS caters for those types of things. They will recommend the right one based on your needs.

Sage One Payroll, Sage Pastel Partner Payroll, Sage VIP Classic, Sage VIP Premier, Sage 300 People & Sage X3 People are all options depending on your company size and budget. Give them a call.

I used to build a huge web-based HR solution that does all that and more, including accruals for any leave rule you define, with an awesome planner that shows a department's leave planned during the year as well as your own predicted leave. I spent 9.5 years on that solution. It also had integration points with various payroll solutions and the ability to configure custom modules and workflows to build your own little internal systems.

We parted ways, so I won't recommend the vendor anymore.

Sage ess can be quite pricy, there is quite a bit of active development for new features which is nice ( we designed and wrote a similar solution years ago that handles recruitment and termination as well but that's inhouse). We looking at shifting to ess and moving modules over as they come online, if they can provide similar functionality.
