Very good indeed. We all know it is true, but why is it taking Government so long to see it? What is going on in government... There are only three options if you think about it...

1. Government is corrupt
2. Government is stupid
3. All of the above

Telkom is the ANC's money tree.. why should their voters deserve telephones or internet? Its a middle finger to human rights from them.

Something is going to have to break the deadlock eventually.

The way I see it, only international investment will force the governments hand to do something about this situation - if enough international companies indicate that doing business in South Africa is not viable because of Telcomms costs and infrastructure, that's a far bigger cash-cow than 38% stake in Telkom.

And cash-cow it's going to have to be, because as far as recent history tells us, social responsibility, morals, ethics and "sharing the wealth" isn't very high on the ANC agenda. Some may say personal wealth is the number one goal for the members of our current administration ...
