I bought a purge valve and fitted it.

Where did u buy valve from.I spoke to dealer and it is not listed and because car is old they would not have stock anyhow.Over 10 years.I have just fitted a 2.2k ohm resister between terminals and light has gone off.Left plug in my ashtray incase of problems.Will test drive car tomorrow see if its still has power etc.Do u know what resistance there is across new purge valve terminals is.Thanks....

I googled it and they said it's about 30 to 50 ohms. And if u google for a purge valve for your model u will find it online. But I went to a scrap yard and took it off a scrap car.
