ChatGPT leaked payment details to wrong users

OpenAI has explained how a bug in ChatGPT's Redis open-source client library exposed some ChatGPT Plus subscribers' payment details to other users.

The company took ChatGPT offline last week after it became aware of a flaw that allowed some users to see the titles and first messages from other active users' chat histories.
 
You I recognize the mistake. They definitely wrote that code with chat gpt which often misses steps, even ones it made itself At times it believed it has a certain value, then does variable substitution with made up values. The argument ensues where it disagrees about its obviously visible mistake. Until the text line is given to it, confirmed that it's part of the code by asking if the line is in the code, then it starts with 'I apologize.....'
 
I sent this in to OpenAI more than a month ago with no response, ChatGPT was flipping out and switching context to a different conversation entirely, when I asked it what my last 10 interactions were it was clear it was from another session.
