ChatGPT adds R3,600 per month subscription

OpenAI is introducing a higher-priced paid tier for its chatbot ChatGPT that includes unlimited access to its most powerful artificial intelligence models, including an improved version of its software that can perform human-like reasoning tasks.

The new ChatGPT Pro option, announced in a livestreamed event on Thursday, will cost $200 (R3,605) a month and offer access to an expanded version of o1, its reasoning model.

I spent some time refactoring some crazy java classes last night. This o1 pro model performed flawlessly. But that's been my experience 🫠

The new models are already super useful and a huge resource multiplier.
Considering the clowns we interview for cloud engineering and programming positions demanding R1m a year, this is a much cheaper option - get some people who actually know what they are doing and then 10X them with AI.

Wonder if it will be able to count all the R's in the word strawberry? If yes, bargain.

ChatGPT Pro comes with unlimited access to o1 model and a $200 price tag

OpenAI has a new subscription tier called ChatGPT Pro, and at $200 per month before tax, it’s the most expensive subscription in its portfolio. Meriting the tenfold increase in monthly membership compared to GPT Plus ($20), GPT Pro features unlimited access to OpenAI’s flagship o1 (oh-one) model, including exclusive access to the o1 pro mode version, which is the most powerful model from OpenAI to date.

As per OpenAI, the final release of its o1 model is more powerful, faster and more accurate than the preview build it launched in September. It’s multimodal and better at tasks like coding and math. OpenAI also says o1 pro excels at data science, programming, and case law analysis.
