Still sitting on 100Mbps on Vox. I see some people are harassing them on Twitter, and their response is that it could take a few days. This is completely understandable.

However, the person who typed the e-email probably should've stated this...

I'm on Vox, I'm now getting 100Mbps up but my download speed is still pegged at 100Mbps.

I thought my router was negotiating at 100Mb speeds but it's gigabit between the router and the ONT and also gig between the router and my PC.

SAD.

I'm with a Telkom as an ISP. I was never downgraded back to 40Mbps after the free
three month lockdown promo put me on 100Mbps last year. There I was thinking that my line would stay at 100 until I ran a Speedtest a few minutes ago. Now I know why the call I was on around lunchtime was disconnected for a few seconds.

MWEB dragging their feet as usual. The only difference noted is that my 10Mbps line is now symmetrical

According to MWEB the upgrades are being rolled out by Openserve, they have no control over it

Chat I just had with Vox support:

11:20:10 a.m.Good day
11:20:12 a.m.how may I be of assistance
11:21:17 a.m.Good day. I have the 20 Mbit uncapped pure dsl account at R708 per month. Will this be upgraded to 40, or can I remain at 20 Mbit and pay the reduced fee? R575 pm
11:22:43 a.m.You will need to send a e-mail to sales@voxtelecom.co.za and request that the be downgraded back to the 20Mbps in order for the monthly subscription to be reduced
11:23:23 a.m.Thank you. Do I wait for the speed upgrade to happen? When might it happen?
11:24:01 a.m.I would recommend that you wait for the upgrade line speed to be completed. The upgrade is going to take a couple of days
11:24:25 a.m.Is it dependant on Openserve actioning it, or does Vox do it?
11:24:41 a.m.Openserve needs to action the upgrade
11:25:01 a.m.OK, great. Thanks for letting me know.
11:25:11 a.m.It is a great pleasure
11:25:25 a.m.Have a great day!
11:25:29 a.m.Same to you

I have rubbish downstream SNR (9) and I'm worried the line will bomb out if it gets upgraded to 40.
