Openserve Fibre CPE and using your own device

So my fibre setup pretty much comprises of a CPE unit (Alcatel-Lucent) provided by openserve and my router. I was wondering if I could consolidate these devices and use something like the Mikrotik hAP ac and just buying the fibre SFP module.

I'm hoping for less wires and a tidier solution.

No. The OpenServe CPE unit is locked down, and required for remote management on their end.
