Openserve FTTH line speed upgrades from 1 April 2023

Line speed upgrades mean one of two things

1. your ISP now has to supply twice the bandwidth at the same price, degrading service
2. your ISP needs to increase their prices, since the FNO always forgets that the ISP costs go up with more bandwidth

I received a free upgrade as part of a network wide promo they've been running. Are they going to charge us all to downgrade again at the end of the promo?
Are you on Telkom ?
We stayed with Telkom when Openserve installed FTTH in complex . Telkom ISP is all good until you try to change anything.

Also wondering what happens next after 'Nov-Feb' Openserve speed upgrade promo. It said 'contact ISP before end Jan if you want to retain the new speed. '

Called Telkom, agent said must cancel existing month to month & open another freakin 12-24 month contract!
I said categorical nope.

Openserve promo speed still in place- hope Telkom just leaves it alone.

These small increases and no 1Gb/s product probably means that Openserve doesn't have a lot of spare capacity available.
