OpenServe won't install fibre for me because my driveway is on the wrong side

So OpenServe has been installing fibre in our area.
They have already come and strung the fibre on the poles and mounted the boxes.
My neighbour already has his fibre installed (From the Pole on my property).
But I am hitting a brick wall with OpenServe.
They are refusing to install because my driveway is on the wrong road.
When I use the address where the driveway is, they say there is no coverage.
But when I use the address on the side road, then there is coverage.
But they won't let me use that address because there is no entrance there.
I told them that this didn't seem to be a problem for Openserve when they came and mounted the Fibre lines.

I would keep on trying until you get a different technician.

Else you can always put up a gate on the other side where there is Fibre ;)

That's what I'm gonna try... well at least a post box and a sign.

Seeing that the fiber is arial and already on the pole if I understand you correctly, what has your driveway have to do with any of it?

This is bureaucratic BS where they simply can't put the order through, because your address is listed from another DP or something. Classic example of when Goliath is too big to care.

Would they need to dig a tunnel for the fibre or something? Maybe they can't tunnel under your boundary wall?

if that isn't the reason, then just make a request using the address that works.

Reason being, your house actually has more than one address, believe it or not. I used to work for a property information company. Properties on corners have addresses on both streets, it is just that one address is considered the "master" address. But the other address is still valid according to the National Address Database.

Just use it, when they come to install, show them the real entrance.

Did you even read the OP and check the picture?

Yes I did read the OP and I did check the picture.

His house is on a corner. One road has fibre according to openserve, the other does not. His driveway is on the one that does not have fibre according to openserve, even though there is a fibre pole in his property.

As I said, whether he knows it or not, his property has more than one address.

Maybe you misunderstood my post?

I put it to you:

When I use the address where the driveway is, they say there is no coverage.
But when I use the address on the side road, then there is coverage.
But they won't let me use that address because there is no entrance there.

And thus I repeat my question...

Yes I did read that, you twit, what I'm saying is don't tell them there is no entrance there until they get to your gate.

Except they'll get there, and then leave without phoning you, then close the call due to an invalid address.

Openserve phoned me this evening and said they are.coming to the "other" address tomorrow. I said "oh by the way, the entrance is around the corner"
