Hi

My current setup is a quad lnb, multiswitch, HD pvr and explora. On xtra view.

Would it be possible to link an openview decoder?

OpenviewHD uses a different Satellite than DSTV. So no, unless you point your Dish in another direction, you won't be able to.

Edit: On second thought I vaguely remember an article somewhere recently that mentioned they will start broadcasting on the same Sat as DSTV as well. If someone else can confirm.

Openview now available on both.
To activate:
SES-5, TopTV, pointing North, dial *120*6843#
IS20, DSTV, pointing North East, dial *120*6843*1#

Decoders are now on special for R499.

I just checked out the tv guide, didn't see anything worth watching.

It is our only form of broadcast reception. Unless you want eTV in HD - don't bother.
(we don't watch any broadcast tv - it is there to be able to watch news if something happens.

So SABC channels are only SD, that sucks!

Hi guy I have installed a openview decoder the signal is perfect but on the phone since I'm trying to activate to *120*6843# it doesn't respond and all I get as sms is "activation error try again" but I have spent already 30R of airtime to activate this decoder but only channel 100 that I can see right now

It took me 21 attempts before it worked.
