Dear friends,

Because your computer is nothing without reliable internet security, OpenWeb is proud to announce the launch of it's new antivirus service.

Relying on the award-winning heuristics of the NOD32 antivirus software, OpenWeb will provide a discounted annual fee to existing customers and offer a free local mirror from which up-to-date virus definitions can be downloaded.

Why should your computer be vulnerable to viruses just because you are capped? Protect your computer for only R289 per year. A massive saving of almost 20% from the list price.

This offer is only avaliable to existing clients and is limited to 1 license key per adsl account per month.

Please visit http://www.openweb.co.za to sign up!

Thank-you for your continued support!

Regards,

Last year Nov NOD32 had a promotion, you buy some german PC magazine and they have random questions on content of that magazine, one year licence for free if you answer the question correctly.....NOD32 V2.7 final will be worth waiting, if it's what it claims to be......

Please take some time to read through the following data:

Here are the results for some major AV products in the VB100 from 2003 onwards:

Nod32 10/10 100%
Norton 9/9 100%
F-Secure 9/9 100%
Trend 8/8 100%
Kaspersky 9/11 82%
McAfee 8/10 80%
AVG 6/8 75%
Norman 7/10 70%
F-Prot 6/9 67%
Avast 6/9 67%

We would also like to remind you that OpenWeb is not selling NOD32 as a standalone product. You are also purchasing the ability to download from the local definition mirror. This means that when you're using your local cap your machine can stay up to date and secure!

Well.. .There is spyware and virus that auto attack your PC system. The spyware finds some weakness in your windows security and then use that to infect your system. With billion routers the attack gets block. With normal router the attack is send to your PC because they think that the right thing to do and if your windows don't have the updates to stop that attack your PC will get infected.

The router protection don't help if you use your router as a dial-up modem

Sorry for my bad English but i hope this helps

@BF2master - But when it comes to viruses and other nasties those are only the tip of the iceberg.

Kaspersky has a free version of their excellent software available from AOL.

You might as well just buy Nod32 from a retail outlet. It will cost you R300 once off, and you will also get free updates, lifetime access etc. Anyway, I don't even think that a pay version of an Antivirus is needed, since AVG offers great protection at no cost to you.
