Come on guys i am disappointed in the stats i saw the other day on ISP accounts ....to see Mr beep right down on 9% and telkom up there with the most accounts.

IF Mr beep needs them id like to help get customers for him ......After all openweb i think comes with the best deals at the moment and good prices .

I got 384 uncapped a week now and never had any problems. We should all move to OPENWEB and stuff TELSCUM

Yup, I'm also on the uncapped 384K package and I've received consistently excellent service from Openweb over the last year. They went through a bumpy time when they resold the SAOL accounts but now that they manage their own services, everything is 110%. I've tried a few uncapped packages and this is the best by far!

Just noticed

Just noticed the other day that I am paying R100 more at Openweb per month on my Verizon unshaped a/c than I could be elsewhere.

Am trying openweb radio and it's breaking up intermittently... this from their website:
2. My sound is breaking up! Why?

Either you have an insane hangover from the night before and its your ears doing the breaking up, or you are on a really slow internet connection. Make sure you are not downloading porn or anything else that might take alot of bandwidth, and restart the stream.
Verizon unshaped is pretty fast - I can't beat the international speeds and am on 384k, so I'm not sure why it's breaking up. It's only playing at 20kps and really shouldn't be breaking up. Just shows the poor state of affairs in SA.

Thanks for the positive feedback raidergds.

I am undecided on ODS or OpenWeb. I am looking for comments on both ISPs...good or bad.

I've had ADSL for 4 months now and went with Openweb from the start.

Absolutely no regrets! The service is great, when they have a problem they admit it and pull out all the stops to fix it and they are always coming up with innovative new things.

There might be another ISP where I can pay a few rand less per month but I won't change. The service is worth it.

go for openweb if you want an IS account. As far as ODS go, dont go for them. slow support turn around time. no website to change or manage account details, all done telephonicly or via email. would rather go for the webafricas and the like.

Not for our express accounts, as you can use your own router.

However, the Static IP accounts, which we do not sell commercially, there is a setup charge of some sort.

Don't think they do, only companies that do are the ones that provide you with static IPs and your own router.

Yup...looks like I might go with OpenWeb in the end. ODS is getting a little tongue and cheek in the other thread.
