You still haven't told us which restaurant you got the staff member fired from.

I would tend to think at worst this is possibly racism on the part of a single staff member at the restaurant, but more than likely there was an administrative error of some kind and this muppet is trying to blow it up into something bigger to get traffic to their blog.

oh the irony - he who refers to me in other threads expects me not to respond - if you dont like it, show yourself out.@ grant stop following me around the forum.
take care, he may fire you with one phone call (cos he knows people) or breathlessly attack the [rpb] button
ps rustyoh
how many different people have called you an idiot today (just today alone) - i think you have surpasses all mybb records on that front ?
I'm quaking in my boots here!
Nah, I'm pretty sure rza still holds that record, and will continue to hold it eternally.

He's talking schit. That's why. I have worked at clubs and restaurant type places for more than a decade, not once was a staff member fired in front of anyone.
I know he is... The closest I ever got to having a staff member "fired" was me getting a complimentary voucher and a promise from the manager that the staff member would go on extensive training.
If that was a mafia restaurant, I doubt you would ever see him again![]()

Has to be The Kove or Zenzero (both to the left of The Raj) - I doubt that Nandos (on the right) has a doorman.

Where are you standing? Is it just nandos to the right of the Raj?
He was told to leave, he was pissed off. I went back the next day to see if he was there as I said in my initial post.
I was glad at the time, I felt bad the next day, just a little bit.
Later I found out I wasnt the only person to complain about him, but when i complained and because I was asked to visit the restaurant by the owner, he got rid of him!
I can actually believe this.
I tried it out as well with similar results.
Went to a restaurant in camps bay, waited 15 min for a table while i could see tables available, continually advised that the tables are reserved. Eventually went in not aware of any discrimination, but then watched the door with people coming in, who is waiting and who is getting tables. I decided to test my theories and I was right. The doorman actually told me to go to the Indian restaurant next door!! I stood infront of him, called the owner in JHB, got the door man fired on the spot. (I know people)
The next day I went to the Indian restaurant next door, but also to see if the door man at previous restaurant was still there, he was not. People at the Indian restaurant confirmed my theory, they actually like it because it brings more patrons to their place.
Unfortunately im very rude to white service staff in CT, it works better though. Dont say hello, just say "Hey! table for 6" unbelievable how well it works.
We much more fortunate here in good ol JHB.
I still call bullschit.

How could you feel bad?
You used your, "I know people", trait to fire the man on the spot. How is the owner feeling about you taking away their clientele? How is this a theory?

I want to know his theory.
So...
It seems that the Indian restaurant, "The Raj", was discriminated against by the unnamed neighbouring restaurant.
I did not tell the owner to fire him, I complained to the owner in other words.
I remember telling him about the bad treatment specifically by the doorman and asking if I had to make a reservation for better service etc etc.. he said Ill sort it out and hung up.
I went for a smoke, came back and his apron was on the wooden thingy*
