I dont even want to start listing all the "black priviledges" that there are in this country for being black, some black chic didnt get a booking at a restuarant, cry me a river who gives a damn.

Give that man a free home, electricity and an education; he seems to deserve it based on his years of service to the cause.

I can actually believe this.
I tried it out as well with similar results.

Went to a restaurant in camps bay, waited 15 min for a table while i could see tables available, continually advised that the tables are reserved. Eventually went in not aware of any discrimination, but then watched the door with people coming in, who is waiting and who is getting tables. I decided to test my theories and I was right. The doorman actually told me to go to the Indian restaurant next door!! I stood infront of him, called the owner in JHB, got the door man fired on the spot. (I know people)
The next day I went to the Indian restaurant next door, but also to see if the door man at previous restaurant was still there, he was not. People at the Indian restaurant confirmed my theory, they actually like it because it brings more patrons to their place.

Unfortunately im very rude to white service staff in CT, it works better though. Dont say hello, just say "Hey! table for 6" unbelievable how well it works.

We much more fortunate here in good ol JHB.

the street i live in has 12 houses.
when i bought there 10yrs back there were only white families.

a few yrs later a black family bought
then a muslim family
then another black family
and 2 months back, yet another black family bought a house

all the kids play soccer & cricket together in the road.

now, can you imagine how different things would be if there were a miserable prat like yourself sitting on its verandah continually mouthing off about any incident of racism it was able to dredge up on the internet to everyone on the street

I did get a table, the door man was very rude, it only occurred to me once seated and watching the new patrons and the reaction from the door man.

I know the restaurant owners very well, my cousin is married into the family. I was actually asked to visit their new franchise in Camps Bay.

Once you aware of such behavior you start noticing it more often.

Whether this is true or not is besides the point... How big must the chip on your shoulder be when informed that a restaurant is fully booked to immediately assume racism and get your white friend to phone?

Personally I wouldn't want feckers like this in my restaurant, self entitled pricks who pull a race card at every opportunity.

Because it is reality....even here in Australia where peer reviewed research by prof Andrew Leigh (now member of parliament) found that your surname alone reduced your chance of gaining an interview for a job, by up to 300% for some races. It is that reality that people live with.
If you are black and dont know it exists you are an idiot who never gets out, if you accept it you are a muppet...and if you point it out like you should then you have a chip on shoulder pulling the race card...by all means calling them (or me) that is the least of our issues. The best revenge is still success.

where i live, was classified a white area

what we have now ( and my little road is a microcosm ) is people freely moving to areas of their choice, and mixing / socializing with their neighbors.


but this is a huge derail in reference the kids playing together without the need of some miserable character in the road continually bitching about racism to all the residents, who up until that point, were living happily side by side
