did you have to put it in any specific mode or just 'plug and play'

I'm on the cusp of deciding between this and the Optimate 5

Have a Nissan Qashqai that's been standing throughout lockdown so ja....
Look at the Optimate 6 or 7, both have more functions. I personally have the 6 and I’m happy with it.
Ctek is great as well but more expensive.

Thanks - already pulled the trigger

Dont really need the additional functions and it's priced the same as the Optimate 5.

The Bosch one.

But I've changed my mind and going to get the Optimate 5 instead / just noticed that the Optimate has a 36 month warranty and the Bosch only six months.
Bro, I can assure you the Bosch is built like a tank, with solid clips. Buuuuut it's your call, so long as you're happy with the decision afterwards. I'm sure most chargers can charge a battery, it's not rocket science. I trusted Bosch's protection alogrithms a bit more, because Bosch makes a lot of car parts (it's not like this is all it makes). But Bosch ain't paying me for my sales pitch here ;P

That's the C-Tek ripoff ... we spoke about it near the start of this thread. Nobody knows. It might be rebranded under licence, but I doubt it. It wouldn't make sense to sell the same product looking exactly the same, just with different logos. Unless you're Suzuki and Toyota. Or Peugeot and Citroen. Or Ford and Mazda.
