Optimum MTU

Is there an optimum MTU setting to set through a Linksys WRT54G router or can i safely leave it on auto?

I have mine set to the Iburst recommended 1352, works fine for me. :)

try TCPOptimizer from speedguide.net it works nicly to get you best mtu
but for some reason i have to change mine depending in what I am going at the time

1352 is what is reccomended and what TCP Optimizer gave me as my optimum value, so I'm geussing it's the way to go.

there are other tricks you can do to help you connection increasing the dns cache size will help aswell not much but when telkom in involved every thing helps
