Sign up with GoogleA friend of mine has a Option Quad Lite card. He lives on the 6th floor of a block of flats in the center of Bellville. He only gets 3 bars of signal on his card. But when I put my phone right next to his pc I get full bars, that is 7 out of 7 on my 6680. Celltrack shows -81 dBm.
I know with my phone it shows 3 bars when the signal hovers around -100 dBm. I'd hate to think that the built-in antenna on the Option card is that bad? Or does 3 bars on the Option card perhaps correspond to the same signal strength in dB as my phone is getting?
He has a little external antenna that came with the card, but it hardly makes a difference, maybe half a bar I think.
