Of course, just like when everyone thought Wal-mart was going to instantly make everything cheaper, which also didn't happen. Foreign companies don't come here to drive down prices, they come because mark-ups are so ridiculously high and they want a piece of the action.
 
Is it just me, or has no MyBB article ever included a link to what they are talking about?

Guys, I get that you don't want people leaving your site - but this is silly.

Look at their phone prices, you will be impressed.

Using CaCell as a comparison is a shocker, just do a search on this forum about CaCell and you will see that you shouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.

I just believe credit should be given where it is due, and Orange have brought phones to us at great prices with no delivery cost as well as speedy delivery.

Don't be so quick to judge.

They took over Massmart. The only thing that changed is Makro now has an extra page of "Wal-mart" specials. Still the same pricing as always.
 
shipping cost me 100, comes from uk got smacked by customs... that is not something I saw on the site, need to check their terms.

EDIT: So this is on their site.... doesn't mention SA customs?

From what I understand from speaking to a couple of the Store Managers and a Regional Manager in my process of work, there is more to come. They are moving slowly at the moment due to agreements and stuff, but there is a lot more planned. For example, some Game stores getting a fresh produce section is due to the Wal-mart deal ... obviously this isn't what you want, but such a change does take time. I was just giving an example.
I don't know what the future plans are though. I can tell you that the Massmart group has shifted their year end to be in line with Wal-mart's year end ... slowly they are bringing in Wal-mart processes.
I also heard that top management had some sort of meeting about future changes relating to Wal-mart.

Oh, another example is Dion Blue Monday.

Take that back....
The T's and C's are quite clear that VAT etc is including advertised price...
Ordering now... let see how this turns out
