It was rhetorical question. On myBB, there are plenty with pre-94 mentality - there is no need to visit a place. But just watch the space dude - there is not going to be any "white" enclaves anymore, not in SA. You really need to wake up.

And the "post-94" mentality has proven it actually works long term? If we can last even vaguely in the current state till the next election I'd be very surprised.

Y
I could survive on R 20k probably even less if I was single and had no kids. Bachlor flat, cheapish small car.

Dude, I'm literally that guy and I can tell you now that I'd be f***ed if I had to live on R20K. Cheap bond on a bachelor flat (R450K) and cheap car (Nissan Micra) payments already sucks up a ton of that R20K.
Bond - R4800
Car - R2200
Car Insurance - R800
CellPhone - R300
Levies & Electricity - R3300

That's already R11.4K gone and I've left out a ton of stuff.
It's just not do-able anymore, sadly.

It still facinates me that a "president" of sorts gets a cheap presidential vehicle and low salary.... and people get upset over it....

But they like grow all their own food and are pretty much off the grind.

R22K just about covers the Brandy and Coke tab :D

The council made a declaration and I'm going to believe their decision over your ramblings.
.
... Lots of Orania unrelated ramblings ...
.
My surprise (or shock) about Orania has absolutely nothing to do with their skin colour. It has to do with the so called "Christian values".

You feel bad now, don't you?

To believe you or not to believe you. That is the question. I mean really - you talk about Orania and 'Christian Values' comes first to mind. Who exactly are you trying to fool?

Also where do all these people work, looks like the nearest cities are hours away.

What kind of dumbass question is this? People need food, people open shops, people need to man the till, clean the shop etc. People have kids, the school needs teachers, admin staff, cleaners etc. People need to maintain the shops, schools, houses etc. and handymen are required. Somebody needs to work the farms etc.

It's really not that hard to imagine how a local economy can pop up, with jobs to go along with it.

Sometimes I wonder: How can such a poor environment be economically stable without any state subsidy. Not to mention the very low crime rate. Crime and poverty are supposed to go hand in hand. Not in Orania though.
Such a poor environment? What is poor about Orania and what poverty are you talking about?

Has it ever occurred to you that some of the townfolk were already wealthy individuals thus, could afford to put money into large projects? I doubt it. Your focus is to advance your racist agenda at every opportunity. What a sad life you live.

Even people I regard right wing avoid your posts many times.

Do you know what an example is? Nowhere did I say that those were the majority of jobs over there. They are however, necessary jobs that have a high probability of existing in a small town of less than 2000 people.

Don't shift the goalposts when your stupidity is exposed.

You really are petulant, you never used an example nor did you answer my question. You just like to rant due to your butt hurt.

To high-brow for you eh?

I'll be sure to explicitly state "example" in bold letters, and dumb it down for you next time. Funny how @Sollie and @Nick333 had no trouble understanding my post.

Already found to be no corruption.

What is rather funny how the haters make a big song and dance of this even he sensationalistic title "Orania's 'president' could lose his job over 'irregularities'".

It's rather pathetic to not compare how this president only takes a R22k salary, vs any regular mayor or like. The regular mayors want brand spanking new BMWs/Mercs - no second hand crap for them, whether the people can afford it or not.

Were it the other way around, it would be news for the next 10 years, now it's just the norm. This just exposes the news media for what they are: Breaking news? No problem - we fix it. Haters hate and just lap up this media stuff.

That's why I was asking: A MB for 100.000Rand and 22.000 a month salary ??? In 1989 it might have raised eyebrows but in 2019? ANC took care of everything. #LiveWithIt
