Ordering off Aliexpress? Advice?

I agree, three emails to Meili lots of WA msgs and here I still wait for them to rectify the duties or taxes on my walkie-talkie....I'm not going to pay that R365.00, does anyone here know where can I take my complaint to? Thanks
You might as well post your complaint here, as SpeedAF and Aliexpress dont give a ****.

Update:
So yesterday morning just after 09:30 I received an apology as well as an invoice from them with the revised amount (R161.00) which I paid and I also forwarded a copy of the POP to them and they did acknowledge receipt thereof, however later in the afternoon when I checked the invoice again I then noticed that the invoice was made out to different person which reflects his delivery address, so another battle awaits me tomorrow.

All sorted out this morning.

I have been ordering off aliexpress for a few years now. Placed an order on Monday and this is the first time I recieved a sms and whatsapp from IMile delivery with my tracking numbers requesting that I upload my ID to avoid any delays by clicking on the link provided. Has anyone experienced this before or is this a scam? I googled the company Imile and it seems legit but never had them involved in all my years of ordering on aliexpress.

Contact them via whatsapp I would be very careful uploading my ID

New item ordered....old story.
I used a very nice coupon they offered,, at about 60$ off,, but when they declare it they declare the original amount without the coupon, when I asked them to send me an invoice they also didn't include the coupon.....
I really can't understand how hard is it , to include the coupon, this is not shop specific, it's all of them
That is weird because most Chinese sellers are hell bent on under valuing everything on invoices to make their offerings more attractive.
Just odered this keyboard, shipping says 2-7 days from Turkey:

After paying, it now says 11 days 🤦‍♂️:

Not a massive delay, but still!
Edi: typo
@Mr G Did that eventually ship?
When they suddenly have a long delay just to ship after ordering they are often scam sellers.

It shipped a couple days after placing the order, was held at customs for about 6 days. Current status is "Item arrival at collection point for pick-up" and location is ZA88279 - not sure if that's my local post office. Was at JIMC for a few days, then looks like it went to CPT, even though the delivery address is in JHB. I'll go tomorrow to ask if it's at the Isando branch.

I need to order something off Aliexpress but don't know how reliable the various delivery options are and if they are trackable. Sites says they are not

Only AliExpress standard shipping is fast

what is this people smoking R473 for a simple bms?
Agreed - you need to query that. I once ordered a bunch of old vacuum tubes and the customs officer insisted they were car LED headlamps and that they should be dutyable. Had to present the invoice to get it reduced. Phone the CapeMail customs office with your tracking number and query it.

BTW, which shipping option did you select when ordering this? I suspect Aliexpress Standard will now bypass the PO so assume it was one of the cheap options?

Hey how did you manage to sort it out with meili x speedaf? They are charging me duties equal to double the clothing item value because they included delivery fees in the customs duty calculation. Emails with correct invoice from supplier, phone calls with manager have not been helpful what else can I try?

Well luckily I knew the import code for radio transmitting equipment and that is duty free. I'm sure I've heard/read somewhere that Customs are nailing people that import clothing but can't be sure, maybe someone else can shed some light on that.
