Short story : my dad passed away a many years ago and left house 50:50 to myself and brother (Dolby Trust : Brother Trust.) , stipulated only to be transferred into our name at age 28. Until that point it was 50:50

I hit age 28 in 2009 and got my share, so the Deed was then transferred to Dolby : Brother Trust. . It's now my brothers turn as he's of age and they're asking for the original Deed that I collected in 2009. I can't remember collecting it 5 years ago and don't have it at home ... so they want to charge something like R1,300.00 to get it again.

If I did collect it and lost it - fair enough :/

But they don't even have a signature that I collected it? When I asked for proof that I did get it, they sent a mail from back then when I said 'I'll make a plan'. One would think they're have physical proof of collection.

Sorry - they being the attorneys.

The trust needs that document from the attorney, who say they have passed it over - with no proof. So the trust is asking anyone to assist with the document.

I've agreed to pay just to get the deal done - but it is unfair. I've asked attorny to relook at the quote though
