Our prices will be aggressive – New SA LTE player

Hopefully available on a month-2-month/pre-paid with multi-sim and competitively priced or I don't see why I would change from Telkom Mobile...

I hope this is true and not a Virgin type setup.

The 4 current need to wake up and stop robbing the people.

I love competition and the end user always benefits.

Wireless will never compete with dSL and fiber. It is finite and cells cannot be rolled out fast enough this is what has happened with telkom LTE

Everyone (almost) has great connectivity in Rosebank, Sandton, Parktown, Pankhurst, Jozi CBD, etc but not at my house. Fix that and we'll start talking.

Well, I would say LTE-A would beat:
ISDN, HDSL, HDSL2, SDSL, ANSI and ADSL (G.dmt and G.lite).

It is a good competitor to ADSL2 and ADSL2+ as well, and could easily win depending on needs, especially if upload is required.

If Telkom would allow higher upload on VDSL/VDSL2, then it would easily beat LTE-A.

Their own network or piggy back on the existing networks alla virgin?

Lets hope.

Bit ominous that they're promising it'll be as good as fibre...not a promise they'll easily deliver on.

All facilities leasing agreements concluded with other licensed operators will be lodged with ICASA in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements,
That would be a no, on their own network, so again my backwater town in left in to dark ages :D Yay for progress !!!!!!!

So another me2you mobile, bokradio and Virgin clone

Even though Telkom and Cell C have great data pricing, Vodacom still has the most customers.

Pricing isn't as important to people as you think.

100% correct. Wireless will never compete with fixed-line broadband. On some point they will have to increase prices to maintain quality of service. But they are welcome, particularly in areas where fixed lines are not available. Spectrum allocated to iBurst was wasted for many years.

Can't wait for this. Ibust was never interested in rolling out towards me.

Brace yourselves!

FUP's are coming!
And that's ok. Will happily take something that will give me 50GB/month or 4Mbps uncapped.
