Good to know that Vodacom intends to continue with its highway robbery for several years to come.

Vodacom's unwillingness to reduce its prices could be a result of the brain damaging EMR coming from SANRAL's etrolling gantry just outside Vodaworld.

That was well past its sell-by date... Been chatting 'bout this in the "iPhone 5 price hike for South Africa: Vodacom" thread... In the UK most operators will give you unlimited calls and messages with data packages that start at a gig per month for about £36, or you can flip it and get unlimited data and messages with 2000 minutes per month at the same price.
I'm beginning to think Shameel Joosub believes South Africans haven't heard about the interwebz yet.
 
Vodafone offers unlimited deals in the UK.... why can't it be done here?

I mean, it's the same company, isn't it?

But if Joosub says it can't be done here, then I must conclude that he is the biggest moron I've ever seen in a CEO chair. Just an empty suit, counting the days till retirement.

I really hope he proves me wrong.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Vodacom have had a stellar day today... Their prices are better than Europe... Really? They won't be introducing uncapped products... Really? LTE will roll out in "some cities" 'tho their network is "75%" LTE ready... Really? There will be a hike in the iPhone 5 price 'tho there has been none in the US, UK etc... Really?
 
Recently went through UK, France and Croatia.

All of them were way cheaper than Vodacom, and much better.
 
Contradicting statements from Vodacom executives, clearly we'll be robbed even more years to come! Cell C is the way to go brothers and sisters!
 
I'd like to see a follow up to this story with a comparative table.
 
It worries me when I read nonsensical statements like this from a CEO of a large corporate.Surely any decent journalist would have called his bluff on that statement?!

They should concentrate on being the cheapest in SA first.
 
Every time I see Cellc or 8.ta logo I feel sorry 4 VC

Am afraid "as years go by” for me is too far hence I ported to cellc and bought 8.ta for data.

This numbnut was probably aiming this at foreign tourists. Pity he forgot that they pay roaming rates when visiting here.

PS. My SO looked over my shoulder when I read the regurgitation of the cr@p he spew and remarked "what an unattractive man"...

Thank God I'm not on VC otherwise I would have started a poll to determine if we have to have such large, bandwidth-wasting images on MyBB
