Hi,

I've only used prepaid for data on VM, but with the new 90 day offer from MTN am thinking about getting it on my MTN Mycall 100 contract.

My question is, how do you monitor your bandwidth usage? I know I can have software monitoring usage on my PC, but other than that, is there anyway I can query MTN to see what they think I have left of the 2Gig?

Out of bundle rates are a pain.

Thanks

Every now and then I check by dialing *141# from the card in use and your airtime and available data amount left is sent through to you.

with contract you have to dial 16202. and vollow voice prompts.

also if you MTN SP customer you can go to www.mtnsp.co.za - follow the link to MTN - Active and then check unbilled info.

unfortunatly neither of these are realtime and normally lags about 24hrs behind.

Gary, that only works for : "This service is only available to Pay as you Go and MyChoice Topup subscribers." No luck for me there.

Hanno I tried your suggestion, but no luck either. I must be a MTN subscriber. I guess they meant MTNSP?

My SP is Autopage..

The MTN voice suggested I call 258

The next voice tells me I have

167 free of peak minutes

and

33 peak minutes

and 15 SMSs.

How is that possible on a MyCall 100?
I thought with a Mycall 100 I get 15 minutes peak and 85 minutes off peak??

"Free" unused minutes carries over to the next month. But remember they expire after a while, I think after 2 or 3 months on MTN.

Mycall 100 is a contract package so you can have the service activated via the call centre you can monitor via 16202 with MTNSP and make use of MTN ACTIVE it's a online system where you can add and remove services and check how much you've used the only *** thing is there's a 24 hour delay

The only way you can check on Autopage is via 258
