Outage on Standard Bank online and mobile banking

Standard Bank customers are reporting problems with using online banking and the mobile banking app.

Standard Bank's Downdetector page showed a sharp surge in complaints from just before 9:00 AM on Friday, with the number of reports remaining high as of 11:00 AM.

Nothing new.. every month during the payday(s) period this is what standard bank does..

And they keep on messing around with their Cellphone banking app too. Regularly.

What irks me most about SB is the high fees they charge to send a payment confirmation via SMS/E-mail. Ridiculous costs.

Got a SMS from them 11 minutes ago, to say we are working on the issue..

Either they are attempting damage control VERY late or their SMS systems were also affected by this outage..

Also just got the SMS Maybe they are using Rain as their SMS service provider
